Veronyka: I started when I was sixteen years old. I've been coloring and styling hair for over 20 years. Why did you choose this profession? Veronyka: Mainly because it is fun and is my form of artistic expression. Becoming a board certified master hair colorist was a business decision, as this niche can be quite lucrative. I am a national top producing hair colorist , focusing products from the likes of Goldwell, Paul Mitchell, Aquage, Kenra, and Redken. What is your greatest frustration or pet peeve? Veronyka: Late clients! I have a really tight schedule I hold myself too. A late client can throw off my schedule for rest of the day real easy. I tell late clients it doesn't just affect me, it affects the rest of my clients who sometimes invest in their hair during lunchtime and need to be in and out of the salon like clockwork. What do you attribute your success to? Veronyka: A lot of hard work, long hours, and loving what I do. My passion is seeing the results of glowing clients after they leave my chair. They have an extra skip in their step and I am happy to have been a part of the process and their hair transformation You are a mom with two little girls and a boy. How has having children affected your work? Veronyka: I am proud to say that I have a nanny to delegate my domestic responsibilities too. She is an incredible blessing. Once I do get home after a long-hard day at the salon, I can focus on quality time with my girls, my son and husband instead of spending time doing laundry or cleaning. It works for me and I am not afraid to say I need help, so they can focus their time on what really matters; family! What do you want your children to learn as they grow into young adults? Veronyka: Dream big, work hard, be good to people, and embrace that sometimes people will have a hard time with your being successful - so surround yourself with other successful people who will help you, as you in turn will help them when they need it. What does Cleon, your husband of twelve years, say about you? Veronyka: Cleon would say, “I am a fun and sassy woman. I'm dedicated to using my artistic talents to make a difference in people’s lives, that I love being a mom, and I love our children! |
